Fall Quarter, 1999
-
Computer Graphics Basics. Topics covered include scan
conversion of lines and polygons, basic image processing, sampling, aliasing
and antialiasing, modeling and viewing transformations, represenations
of curves and surfaces, user interfaces, hidden surface removal algorithms,
reflection and lighting models, and illumination computations.
-
Winter Quarter, 2000
-
Rendering. Topics covered include raytracing, radiosity,
volume rendering, the rendering equation, light field and image based rendering.
-
Spring Quarter, 2000
-
Projects and Case Studies in Computer Graphics. Class
members will work on a project of their choice; they apply computer graphics
techniques to selected problems in modeling, rendering, interaction or
animation. Class members will be able to make frame-by-frame animations
using the facilities of the Caltech graphics group.
