TENSEGRITY PRACTICE GROUPS A question that was asked recently was about the possibility for practitioners of Tensegrity to contact groups that get together to practice in different areas of the country. Cleargreen has collected a short list of groups in different areas, which could be of service to those interested. In case a locale has to be rented for these practice sessions, the costs should be split among the participants. It is our obligation to emphasize that neither Cleargreen, Incorporated nor Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner-Grau, Taisha Abelar, or Carol Tiggs, assume any kind of responsibility for anything that is being shown or taught in these Tensegrity practice groups. These groups, are, by definition, organized by the people who participate in them and depend totally on themselves. However, Cleargreen, Incorporated would appreciate being informed about new and existing Tensegrity practice groups in order to be able to forward this information to all the interested people who ask us about it. TENSEGRITY PRACTICE GROUPS Please Note: The majority of local practice groups must rent a practice space big enough to accommodate the group. There is therefore usually a charge of a few dollars (or the equivalent) per person, per session to cover this cost. This is a gross error. Perhaps some of the groups that get together to practice Tensegrity didn't understand the nature of the maneuver I wanted to execute in encouraging the practice of Tensegrity in groups. No matter how versed those "teachers" are in the execution of the movements of Tensegrity, they don't have the basic qualification to teach it. That basic qualification is called the warriors' way, and it consists of an arrangement the practitioners make with the forces that surround them. Anyone teaching Tensegrity should have this arrangement worked out. Otherwise, it is a calculated act of taking advantage of others. Tensegrity is not martial arts, where you have to rank people in the order in which they came, going from novices to very advanced students. If there is something I am interested in, it is CHALLENGING NORMAL COGNITION. In practicing Tensegrity, what I wanted to do is to respond intelligently to a challenge from infinity. Whatever I am driving at, I know is an impossibility, but perhaps because it is an impossibility, it may work. I am soliciting those pseudo-teachers to adopt a different position. Otherwise, the cynical man will triumph. For a cynical man, nothing is real except the potato he's holding in his hand. To face infinity, which we all have to do, holding a friggin' potato is the most banal of all possible acts. Especially if we're holding a strange door half open. Whoever is interested in practicing Tensegrity should go with those who practice Tensegrity, not with those who are teaching it for profit on the sly. Tensegrity is a matter of using intent. In order to use intent, you have to lead an impeccable warrior's life. This is the point of view of the shamans of don Juan's lineage. I share it with you, because I am the one who brought Tensegrity to you. For years and years in the past, I used to teach and give lectures on Tensegrity, and all I succeeded in doing was to supply a flock of cynical people with vocabulary, which they used for their own devices. I would hate to be in the same position again. I thought that the solution to all this was to practice Tensegrity without any assumptions and to find out for ourselves, pragmatically, into what worlds the magical passes could take us. Some of us still could do this, so let's do it. -- Carlos Castaneda ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Back to the [Image] Tensegrity Workshops ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [Image] Cleargreen Statement of Purpose [Image] Upcoming Carlos Castaneda's Tensegrity Workshops [Image] Recent Carlos Castaneda Publications: Journal [Image] Tensegrity Videos [Image] Tensegrity Tools [Image] Book List, Current List of Books [Image] Sign In [Image] E-mail Cleargreen [Image] Order Form [Image]Link to Verde Claro associate corporation in Mexico City. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ E-MAIL Infinity: To E-mail Cleargreen, Inc. infinity@webb.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Published by Cleargreen Incorporated.
