In the United States, Mali, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Navajo Nation, I would like to include people in the pictures, if possible traditional buildings, historical and name locations. These would be part of a "library" that would also preserve and teach culture and history. I am not adverse to modern culture being recorded as well.

Pasadena, Calif, the Wilson School 6th grade class of Ms. Kim Weber is now writing their problems in English, translating some to Spanish as well, and taking digital photo illustrations.

If we get the equivalent of about one problem for each student of one class we will give the teacher the camera and begin with other classes.

Goals:

Using technology to help students develop math skills and ownership
Introducing teachers to digitial cameras and online opportunities
Developing libraries of cultural material
Using variety in languages to show the common language of math between cultures
